We advise and assist clients in privatisation work in different industries, including telecommunications, healthcare and airport operations. Amongst some notable privatisation engagements undertaken by us to date is the privatisation of the non-core facilities of KLIA Terminal 2 which exceeds RM1.0 billion in value.
In these transactions, we act for the concession owners or the concessionaires. Our work includes advising on the appropriate legislative and regulatory framework for the concession policy, the appropriate structure for each concession from the legal perspective, the legal implications arising from the transactions, preparing and advising on the tender documents, and negotiating on the concession and operational documentation.
We advise property developers in acquisition of lands for development. The capital structures used in these transactions range from simple cash payments to exchange of lands. Further, we assist property developers that are publicly listed in Malaysia, in structuring transactions to ensure compliance with the Malaysian regulatory framework, in particular, the relevant listing requirements of Bursa Malaysia.
We also advise end purchasers on real property transactions and property related matters. In this regard, we also assist foreign investors to structure their investments to ensure compliance with Malaysian regulatory approvals.
